Frequently Ask Questions

It is a metallic butterfly-style damper designed for isolation and regulation of high-temperature air and gas streams, including hot air, flue gas and combustion gases.
The maximum temperature depends on the body, disc, shaft, bearings, seat arrangement and insulation design. High-temperature damper designs are available around 600°C, while specialized low-pressure designs can reach approximately 1000°C.
Alis Valves manufactures and supplies High Temperature Damper Butterfly Valves for cement, power, steel, chemical, waste-heat recovery, furnace, kiln, flue-gas and industrial process-gas applications.
Its construction is designed to withstand elevated temperatures where conventional elastomer-seated butterfly valves may not be suitable.
A high-temperature damper is specifically designed for hot gas and air service, usually with metallic sealing and heat-resistant construction. Standard soft-seated butterfly valves are generally more suited to lower-temperature liquid and gas applications.
