Alis Valves is a leading manufacturer of Non-Lubricated Plug Valves designed for reliable and maintenance-free flow control in corrosive and clean service applications. Unlike lubricated types, these valves use a PTFE or polymer sleeve/lining to provide sealing and reduce friction, eliminating the need for external lubrication. This design ensures bubble-tight shut-off, smooth operation, and long service life even in aggressive chemical environments.

Frequently Ask Questions

A Non-Lubricated Plug Valve is a plug-type isolation valve that uses a PTFE or polymer sleeve/lining instead of external lubricant to reduce friction and provide sealing between the plug and valve body.
The valve uses a PTFE, FEP or PFA sleeve/lining to provide low-friction operation and sealing. Therefore, conventional external plug lubrication is not required.
Alis Valves is a Non-Lubricated Plug Valve manufacturer and supplier in India, offering polymer-lined plug valves for corrosive, clean and demanding industrial applications, with PTFE, FEP and PFA lining options, DN15–DN300 sizes and PN10–PN40 pressure ratings.
The plug rotates inside a polymer-lined or sleeved body. When the plug's passage aligns with the pipeline, the valve is open. Rotating the plug to the closed position blocks the flow and provides isolation.
Neither is universally better. Non-lubricated plug valves are particularly attractive for corrosive, clean and low-maintenance applications, while lubricated plug valves can be advantageous in certain high-pressure and demanding isolation services. The choice should be based on the media, pressure, temperature, corrosion requirements and maintenance philosophy.
