A Floating Top Entry Ball Valve is a quarter-turn ball valve that uses a floating ball for sealing and has a top-entry body design, allowing access to the internal components from the top.
Top entry means the valve's internal components can be accessed by removing the bonnet or top cover from above rather than removing the entire valve from the pipeline.
A Top Entry Ball Valve provides access to internal components from the top. A Side Entry Ball Valve is assembled through the side of the body, often using a multi-piece construction. Top-entry designs can be advantageous where in-line maintenance and reduced pipeline disturbance are important.
